Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi sangat membantu dalam suatu organisasi.
Organisasi ekstrakurikuler di SMK NEGERI 9 Kota Tangerang dalam sistem
informasi ekstrakurikuler masih menggunakan manual yang belum
terkomputerisasi, hal ini menyebabkan kurang efektif dan efisiennya informasi.
Maka perlunya sistem informasi ekstrakurikuler yang efektif dan efisien dengan
sistem komputerisasi menggunakan berbasis website, untuk membantu
mempermudah pengelolaan informasi pendaftaran anggota dan data
ekstrakurikuler. Perkembangan dunia teknologi saat ini memudahkan kegiatan
yang dulunya dilakukan secara manual, namun kini dapat dilakukan melalui
software atau aplikasi. Dalam metode penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan yaitu
metode waterfall sebagai pola pengembangan sistem. Dalam tahap perancangan
sistem ini, untuk pengembangan dan perancangan sistem menggunakan UML
(Unified Modelling Language). Oleh karena itu penulis merasa perlu untuk ikut
serta dalam membuat “RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM INFORMASI
EKSTRAKURIKULER BERBASIS WEB DI SMK NEGERI 9 KOTA
TANGERANG” karena dengan adanya website memberikan kemudahan dalam
melaksanakan kegiatan.
