Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor-faktor kesulitan
belajar matematika operasi hitung penjumlahan dan pengurangan dengan indikator
kesulitan belajar matematika pada siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini
adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes
dan nontes (observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi). Sebelum digunakan
instrumen tes dan nontes telah di uji validitas sehingga layak digunakan. Penelitian
data menggunakan analisis data model Miles & Huberman, yaitu: Redukasi data,
penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan keabsahan
data berupa triangulasi teknik. Hasil Dari indikator kesulitan belajar matematika
yang digunakan yaitu: (1) kelemahan dalam menghitung, (2) kesulitan dalam
mentransfer pengetahuan, (3) pemahaman bahasa matematika yang kurang, (4)
kesulitan dalam persepsi visual, dan (5) kesulitan dalam mengenal simbol. Maka
hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 96,78 % siswa mengalami kesulitan pada soal
nomor 1 dengan indikator kelemahan dalam berhitung dan terdapat 77,41 % siswa
mengalami kesulitan pada soal nomor 5 dengan indikator pemahaman bahasa
matematika yang kurang. faktor yang sering terjadi karena siswa belum memahami
teorema rumus penjumlahan dan pengurangan.
